Network cabinets come in various sizes and configurations to accommodate different equipment and installation requirements. The most common size is a 19-inch rack, which refers to the width of the equipment that can be mounted within the cabinet. The height of a network cabinet is measured in rack units (U), with each U being 1.75 inches (44.45 mm) in height. Typical rack heights range from 1U to 48U or more.
